Current 5 speed gear boxes use Miata gear sets and parts of the case.
I went on one of Ross's 3 day charity drives for the Round Up Ranch. One of the stops was at Round Up Ranch. To see kids desperately ill and having fun and their smiles was a great experience.

I believe Alaskossie had one made for his Caterham. I haven't seen him on here for quite awhile. I'll shoot him an email and see if I can get him to post.
I also check it every day hoping my former Caterham SV shows up for sale.
The Miata.net forum is also fun, friendly, informative and bad behavior is not tolerated. Over the years a number of people have been banned.

That looks like a camshaft position sensor at the back of the cam cover. Does your ECU not require that input? Will a shorter sensor with a shorter mount be on the new cam cover?
Sorry, I can't help you with that expectation how about a Miata on an outhouse?
