I'm not sure what to think about that '78 turbo. That's a lot of money in an old car which may not have added value and may have made it difficult to use on the street. I've driven a car with a multiplate clutch and super light flywheel on the street (albeit not a 7) and found it very unrewarding. On the other hand it has a turbo and I do like turbos. The work looks well done, but the engine bay is more busy than I would have like (now I go hid in a corner where the owner can't see mine).

Does anyone have any idea what differential is in it? I would worry of ripping it apart if it hasn't been upgraded (assuming the '78 version was not so strong).

I agree with you Dan. Its roll bar is designed a way I dont like. You have a bench seat with no head protection against the roll bar. The wheels are the narrow snowflakes and the rubber looks to be the average performance stuff. But you have 350hp. There are a bunch of contradictions that make me wonder as to the end aim of the builder.

But anyway...short of time this morning so just posting the links.

Dam (not a cuss word), you beat me again. Maybe I should not look at anything you don's post.
But, where's the fun in that?

    Mike,

My car is sold and the 3 ring binders with the specs are on their way to the new owner, perhaps he will chime in with the data.
I must say that this forum is one of the most supportive and helpful of the many automotive forums on the web. This thread is the most entertaining of them all.
While I haven't posted much, I have read quite a bit before my purchase and during my brief ownership. I appreciate the positive attitudes and contributions of the people involved.
I may own another 7 in the future, they were on my list of "dream cars" for many years and the one I owned did not disappoint.

    Good luck to all.

Congratulations on the sale Bill - it went very quick. Is it going to FL?
