The first one, from Canada is called a “Beva”. Sort of the love child between a Lotus 7 and a Dutton. Made by Chris Williams from EVA Motorsports in Vankleek Hill, Ontario. He also built the "Diva”.

Thanks Dan - that taught me something new. It was interesting to read up on it. Never realized the Diva had a smaller sibling called a Beva.

The owner paid $46K for it and put $30-35K into recent improvements, after blowing up the engine.
I love this Cat's 2.0 Duratec, tho I know the 2.3L and 2.5L make more power. This one had about $20K in new parts, ECU and tune going for it, plus maybe 20% more power than a stock 420S engine. It redlined at 8,800 RPM's.
Owner also added a dry sump system and had the 6 sp Caterham transmission rebuilt. Aftermarket shocks, high end telemetry for track days, LSD,you name it, this car had it.
So the sales price of $48K was a bargain (IMHO).

I've been a bit surprised by (critical of?) prices paid for some Caterhams on BaT, but I agree with Kitcat on this car. Given the work done, it was a bargain. Hopefully the new owner will join the forum.
