    Hey Mark,
the lotus is sharing some space at my BMW guru's garage. He does quality restorations and really knows how to keep airheads running. None of the bikes in the background of the picture are mine, but I do have an R60/2and an R75/5 he's restoring and an R80ST that he keeps in good shape. Had an R80G/S that wasn't being ridden enough and that sale partial funded the lotus.

    Jim,

Sweet. In my younger days I had an R75/5 (toaster) as my daily transport. Before I got the Seven, I thought about an airhead. But, being older, I went with the Birkin. You've got the best of both worlds.

    Congrats,
    Mark

    Hi folks -

I’m a hopeful future 7 owner, here to read and learn. Home is Canada, but I’ve been working a series of back-to-back assignments overseas. I sold a couple of cars (‘68 Spitfire and ‘11 135) when I realized I wouldn’t be using them, so I’m hoping to be ready to buy / order a 7 when this current job ends.

Looking forward to learning about ownership options in North America.

    Cheers,
    Bryan

Bryan, Croc, aka Mike generally publishes a listing of 7's for sale every Sunday morning in the Cars For Sale forum of this site when he is in the USA and not travelling. This list will be especially useful for you as he lists Canadian cars for sale that have already faced the rigors of importation to Canada. Many of us who own 7 type cars make it a ritual to see what is available nationally/internationally on a weekly basis. It is a fun endeavor and Croc's work is greatly appreciated by a large following that looks forward to his posts. Bob

    Hi

My name is Charlie and I thought that I was going to be the latest 7 owner due to finally going in and bidding on a Birkin on eBay. Despite winning, and sending payment, the owner suddenly ‘found’ a problem with the car and instead of offering to repair it, he just said he would return the money. Then the money delivery also mysteriously went from ‘delivered’ to ‘addressee unknown’. Thankfully I do have my money back, but in short I am frustratingly still not a 7 owner.
Hopefully this changes soon and I can legitimately join these ranks (but finding the right vehicle at the right price as you all know isn’t an easy task!). Until then...

Thanks Bob. I’ve been a frequent reader of Croc’s weekly listing, just to get a sense for what’s out there and how often something that matches my current wishlist pops up. I need to spend more time around the cars to make sure I know what I want - I’ve not so much as sat in one at this point! Looking forward to the journey!

    Cheers,
    Bryan

I think you should document this in the questions section of the BaT ad for the car. I'm guessing the seller had a better offer or thought he could have got more for his car in another venue.

Skip - It was Ebay and not BringaTrailer, otherwise your idea was a good one.

Then a negative rating for the seller is in order.
