The guy had excellent rating so I didn't anticipate having these issues, yet he claimed a sudden electrical problem which possibly is true, but refused to acknowledge my offer to fix it and continue the sale, so I certainly suspect he sold it elsewhere. And yes, a negative rating was posted.

But enough of my woes, not the best intro I'm afraid, so who knows of a Seven at a good price..?

Do you have a link to the original ad? Curious to see if it is the seller I think it is.

Look forward to learning more and will probably have a few Sevens posted for sale...
I knew SODO Moto sounded familiar, you sold that yellow Saurus Jr on Bring a Trailer! I wanted it so bad*, but I had just bought a Seven few weeks earlier...

*despite not needing a track-only car in any way, shape, or form... I still wanted it

    Hi everyone,

Just joined a few nights ago.

New to the forum, but not new to the Seven.
I’m originally from Scotland, but now live in Magnolia,Texas!
Spent 20 years in the motor trade, covering parts service and body shop.

    In 2011 I completed a build of a Westfield SEIW, powered by a 240hp 2.0L Ford Duratec
    engine.
I ended up selling it not long after completing it due to a house purchase.
After trying a few other cars, I purchased a 2010 Caterham Superlight 150 in burnt orange.
I sold that car before moving over here to the USA.

I’m now in the planning to own another seven, hopefully self built. I have to say that the response I have had
from a couple of the dealers here in the US has been disappointing.

    John

Welcome and sorry to hear the dealers haven't met your expectations. Not sure what brand you're looking for, but if you are considering a Westfield, contact the US distributor directly. Tom is a good guy and very helpful. if you are looking for a Caterham, Bruce Beachman of Beachman Racing has a very good reputation on the forum, and as per this recent thread, the guys at Rocky Mountain Caterham are back in business. A lot of people on the forum have had very good experiences with them when buying their cars. I've also had positive experiences sourcing parts from them, even though I have a Westfield. Over the years some Caterham dealers have been a little uppity with me regarding Westfield ownership, so they score extra points in my book. If you are looking for something else, it might be worth posting the desired brand(s) to get other recommendations.

Great looking cars! Love the evil black se7en (a Westfield?). Don't overlook Birkin Direct USA when searching. Not only is the owner, Tom Carlin, an active member on the forum, he sells a great version of the 7. And the Stalker is the USA version of "adding lightness" (to a hulking V8). I am not sure how much blame the USA dealers of Caterhams deserve. My impression is Caterham UK considers them to be the proverbial red-headed step-child. So they get little support (just my connecting the dots after 12 years of ownership, no specific knowledge).
