Default Another new guy - Here is my Stalker

    Hi all
I just brought chassis Stalker V6 #118 to Austin

Simultaneously having a blast and scaring the hell out of myself. I've never had a 7 type care before so lots of probably rudimentary questions
    1. Anyone else in the area
    2. Any recommendations for maintenance shops - I am definitely not mechanically inclined
    3. I'm used to formula cars where its necessary to high rev the motor for best performance. Clearly the Stalker is not like that, but the tach did not come marked with a red line. Where should my mental red line sit
    4. I plan to replace the wheel with a flat bottom quick release. While doing that I thought of adding wireless steering buttons like: https://summit-technologies.myshopif...-wheel-buttons. Does anyone have any experience with these things, or similar
    5. I need a spot to securely store some bits and pieces (insurance card, gate remote etc). My initial though was to velcro a pouch of some sort to the passenger bulkhead. Other ideas?

    Thanks all, and hello

Welcome Brittex! I don't have any experience with wireless buttons (I'm using a wired approach), but FREEwheel is very popular in Westfield circles in the UK. If you are only considering wireless to accommodate the quick release feature, another option is this quick release from Spa Technique which can be configured with either 8 or 12 pins to support steering wheel buttons.

Thanks John I'll take a look

I would love to upload a photo or two, but the upload fails on my JPG files. Any thoughts?
    Thx

Using an App like Tapatalk is easiest honestly.

Otherwise Jpegs have to be small in upload size to be uploaded here. I think less than 2 megs? Its easiest in that way to hot link them from something like Imgur (means upload them up there and link them/embed them here)

If the JPG files are under 2mb, please send me a PM and I'll see if I can figure out what's going on.

    Thanks,

Brittex, welcome to the group from another Stalker owner (chassis #85). Jason Minehart lives in Austin. No contact info, but Scott Minehart could put the two of you together. Scottís number: (386) 931-6437

Jason is big into the autocross scene. One of his vids: https://youtu.be/DKV1cXcqxWY

As for storing ins cards, etc., I keep a zippered pouch between the outer-side of the driverís seat and frame.
