Cheap Shot Tom. But only 260 hp? and you think that will keep up with Orange's 310? Wake up you are dreaming.

Can't wait to see it. I bet Maureen ends up driving it as much as Steve. And She is a lot faster than me. Steve is just a crazy motorcycle nut.

Looking forward to seeing you guys again. We haven't heard from the other Se7ener that you shipped a car to last year in NJ. Is he going to join us this year?

Tom C has done a great job on the build, been a lot of fun working with him on the car. Looking forward to playing on track with you guys. Be gentle, I am getting old. Will take a bit of adjustment coming from bikes. Also have been warned by Maureen that if I am faster than her she may need to trade in the Exige for more horsepower. Could get to be an expensive arms race.

All in jest Tom, I guess I am sticking my foot in my (or maybe Steve's) mouth. Looking forward to another great event this year. Thanks to you and Mike for all your work making this the premier event it is.

Another one to add to the list....... I have persuaded an old racer friend of mine to come to the event (Marc E.). Old in the sense that we have been race buuies for a long time and he also happens to be old (like me). He will have the lightest 7 at the event. Not because it is a Superlight, but because he will be bringing a 1959 S1 with a 1500 cc Coventry Climax (all aluminium - even the main caps are ally!). I have personally raced this car at a number of events, including the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. That is one of my all time favorite tracks and events. The race is run through Schenley Park. The circuit has everything, there are around 22 turns over the 2.3 mile circuit, elevation changes, crowns on the (what are public) roads, negative camber corners and even hay bails protecting the street signs and traffic light posts! Where else will you see that in this day and age? It is like the Monaco of the U.S to me! Anyway a very nice fast early 7 to add to the variety of cars at the event.

Yeah! I want to see an S1 out there. Probably keep us all honest!!!!

The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is an epic event. I went there once to consider whether I should put my mustang out. The Coatesville event is another epic one that I would love to attend.

    NeilJ:
I am looking forward to seeing the S1! I just watched a video of a red S1 racing at the Schenley Park event in 2013. It was surprisingly fast, esp on those skinny tires and dubious drum brakes. And the event seemed a lot more like serious racing than parade laps by gentleman racers!

The Pittsburgh Vintage GP event is most definitely a race, not parade laps. I was running at 10/10 th's the entire time. I also ran a 1959 Moorland Formula Junior one year (1 of only 1 ever built, but this went on to become the very successful Gemini Formula Junior). I was nose to tail with a Gemini the entire race and the lead changed hands 5 times between us. Hopefully the 200,000 crowd were suitably entertained!

Ah yes. The front engine juniors are so under appreciated. Seems everyone wants a lot of power. (Don't get me started) The juniors are beautiful, like a 3/4 Formula One from the fifties. Sounds like you had good fun.
