Hello Crew,
I'm looking to ID a Caterham coolant hose, it's from around 2003 and I hope it's still available. The car is an early Duratec installation and uses 2 of these S bends.
Thanks,
Andy

That hose looks just like the bottom hose for my RoverK series Dry sump engine. it is listed on the caterhamUK parts site. I'll go look at my Duratec engined car and see if there are any similar hoses. Be Right Back.

Nope, nothing that looks like that on my Duratec. Here's the link for the RoverK series hose. This one is in Silicon and Blue, they have red, black and just plain rubber hoses too. Good luck. Tom

Tom,
This is an early Duratec car so it's possible it used the Rover hoses. The one in the photo is 1.25" ID. Sound familiar?
Too bad there's no dimensions on the Caterham site.
Andy
You could call or email the parts department tomorrow. They usually will respond. I have a fair amout of spare parts in my garage for both cars. I just can't remember if I have any RoverK hoses. Can't check right now, but I will rummage thru the garage tomorrow to see if I have that hose or any hose for my K series.
Check back tomorrow. Tom

When I had to replace my rotted hoses, I went to the auto parts store and they let me go through their collection of hoses until I found ones that matched. You might get lucky and find one the right shape and size locally.
I'm going to try that too, I've narrowed it down to 20 or so hoses by photo. The parts store is going to kill me!
Yep I was looking to use those pretty blue silicon ones in my Zetec 2.0
These guys seem to have very competitive prices but I never got around to measuring bends, kinks etc so any help?

I found a local silicone hose supplier here in LA and used that along with some aluminum bends I found online. I did have to buy a flaring tool for the aluminum tube but the combination gives you a lot of flexibility in fitment. I think I got the bends from Summit or Speedway. Pegasus has the silicone hose but I got it cheaper locally.
