Hey guys,
Just got back from another fun weekend at the track. This time it was with NASA at Summit Point Motorsports Park in WV. Got a little bit of in-car and figured that I would share it. The new final drive and slicks should be on by the next outing.

Guess I should have remembered to mention it to you...I will be back up there in the fall probably.
One of our listers did show up on Saturday. Dermot (Busa powered Fury) dropped by for a little bit. Nice to meet you Dermot if you are reading this.

Nice one Jeff. Did someone have an 'off' about a third of the way through (on the left of track)?

At one point when I was trying to catch up with that red GT-1 Corvette, there was a big cloud of dust right before the bridge. From a distance it looked like someone could have been off and I backed off a little and left some room out there. When I got closer, nothing was there. People put a tire or two off the road there sometimes and it makes a cloud of dust. There was a car off in turn 1 (at the end of the long straight) about midway through that you can sort of see. My passenger points it out when we go by, but you can see the dust from the start/finish line.

Jeff, I have seen that vette in person - last year, at the end of the Skyline cruise, Scott Lentz and I dropped by to watch the ferraris run the main circuit. The vette was running at the Jefferson circuit (I think - the one with all the concrete barriers). Bad azz car (I have a soft spot for vettes).
That was a great vid. My only on-track experience is at Summit Point many moons ago - on 100cc Yamaha karts. I did 2 40 minute sessions. From what I remember, I only had to hit brakes going into turn 1, and turn 5. The rest was flat out.
I'm not too sure about the lap times. I think I ran 1:39s there. Does that sound right? I think the faster ferraris were running 1:31s. Not sure.
Thanks for posting these

Mazda,
The track with all the concrete is the Shenendoah Circuit. The Jefferson is the little small track That you can't see from the road.
Those lap times sound about right. I got no real times over the weekend (we usually don't time DEs anyways...) but my guestimate for lap times without balast in the right seat would be about 1:26-27 range. I am SO ready for slicks and that final drive change... :reddevil:

Yes, definitely remind me. I'd love to come up there. Hopefully it won't be on the same weekend as the (yet to be determined) snowshoe trip.
