I was wondering the same thing, Stan. But I was too afraid to ask.
Since it'sa sequential...perhaps with buttons or paddles we can't see?

I think he's added paddle shifters to what was a sequential shifter - both are connected, would be my guess.

If you watch his hands closely, you will see his fingers working the paddle shifters which are obviously connected to the sequential shifter.

Look closely, and you can just barely see the sequential shift lights under the top portion of the steering wheel.
