Family/Significant Other Plans for 07/07/07

I was logging on from home over the weekend, and Laura asked me "What are other wives and/or kids planning to do while you are out driving?"

I confessed that I really had no idea. Which is why I started this thread...

FWIW, my in laws are coming down so that Laura can spend some of Saturday with me driving. Friday, I pretty much am going to stay at Tapoco all day for registrations, etc. I bet my family goes to the Biltmore or perhaps back to Franklin (the mines) or perhaps the National Park on Friday, and then probably do another day trip on Sunday while I am out wearing 10% of the tread of my Avons down.

I mentioned this when the plans were first being laid - might be of interest...

Something for the ladies perhaps - or even those of us planning to
drive down to the 777 weekend... my wife went down to meet some
girlfriends for a 50th bash at a Spa near Bryson City recently. The
place was pretty rustic but the treatments were excellent in her view
(and she knows a bit about this stuff). They also ate at a very good
restaurant in Nantahala called Ralia's where all the veggies were home
grown, but you need to supply yoar own booze. Also, if you stop in
Nantahala it's well worth getting some local sausage - fabulous.
