After 18 months on the project, the engine was started for the first time to day. It fired up instantly on the first attempt.

Skip, it says "This video is no longer available."
I have seen that if they haven't posted it yet.
Did you just upload it?
Can't wait to see it.

Apparently it is still being processed by Youtube. I don't know how long it takes before it becomes available.
A lot of firsts today, first start, first video camera, first upload to youtube.

Apparently ...It's NOT Alive - First Startup won't Startup.
Youtube may be stalled, but the motor definately started up. It has a sweet sound to the exhaust that doesn't really come across in the video.

Skip, You look almost exactly like my engineering school advisor (many moons ago) Dr. Holloway.

Skip, meet Dr. Holloway... I don't know how old this pic is (found it on google), but this is exactly how he looked 20 years ago

I see the resemblance, however, I'm a lot less shiny on top and I only wear suits to weddings and burials. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/wink5.gif

Awesome! I can't even get my dealer-built car to start on the first try! http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/biggrinjester.gif
When I saw this post this AM, I thought "you know, this sort of thing is what makes this forum/group of people so great".
We'll have to have a Speed Classics reunion shot in July, Skip.

He wasn't a suit guy, but the job required it.
From what I remember, he had a few cool cars. couple of old 911s, and an olds 442.
I wonder if he still has them. hadn't thought about him for years.
