Here by popular demand (well, mainly because I found some old prints and finally worked out how to use my scanner ...) are some pics of my old Seven - 1700 Super Sprint - I built in late 1996. This is a standard size English garage - bit tight!
As delivered by Caterham - bodywork stacked on Chassis as no room in garage. Engine and gearbox left in neighbor's garage.

As finished - probably my favorite pic of the car, taken from my bedroom window. That's the road at the top of the pic...http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/20070330_145009_overhead_web_ve.jpg
Nice rear 3/4 view..http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/20070330_145104_classic_rear_we.jpg
Finally, could not resist this one, field about half an hour from the house full of Rape seed. Classic Lotus colors... http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/20070330_145220_lotus_colors_we.jpg
Enjoy!

Very lovely. I even like the "boxes it came in"! They are evocative, a bit like the orange Lionel train boxes.

Yeah, the 7 was meant to be YELLOW. IMHO http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/hurray.gif http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/biggrin5.gif

I love a yellow Se7en!!! My Miata is Sunburst Yellow and when my Caterham needs a paint job, it will also be yellow.
I really like the overhead shot, it shows a perspective you seldom get to see.

I went for yellow because of the added 'visibility' Where I was living then was all narrow twisting country roads, often with hedges either side - perfect Seven roads in other words :d
I had originally planned the classis green with a yellow stripe, but was worried about not being seen - you can see why fro the last pic, almost like camoflage!
Thanks for the comments, Steve.

Hi Steve ... fantastic pics! I want my car in Yellow too for the same reason, but with black windscreen surround, headlights and wheel centres.

Yellowss7 - love those wheels, what are they?
Scud. Thanks. Where in Malaysia are you? I worked in Singapore for a few years - used to drive up to KL fairly regularly... and always got a fine for speeding on the way (back then you got one for speeding no matter what speed you were doing, well, you did if you were an ex-pat in a BMW  )

The wheels are 3 piece Magniesium centered MB wheels. MB is Mike Barnby, an English wheel maker. They were the wheels Caterham used on the R500's for the first 3 or 4 years. Extremely light weight. When My kit arrived, I picked up one of the boxes and was surprised to find all 4 wheels, mounted with the Avon CR500's filled with air and balanced.... And I had picked the box up with no trouble. I think they quote around 3.5 Kg. per wheel!!
You can still get them from MB in the UK. Not cheap though. I think at the time Wheels and tires were around $2600.  The UK guys usually, just do them in black.
