No idea what, if any, performance driving background Eddie Griffin has, but under the assumption that this "rehersal" was basically training, whose idea was it to do the training in an Enzo with a concrete barrier 20 feet from edge of the course? http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/confused5.gif

Edit: It just occurred to me that the Long Beach GP and thus the Toyota Pro/Celebrity race is just 2.5 weeks away. If that's what he was "rehersing" for that makes it doubly stupid: Learn to drive in an Enzo in preparation for your race in a Scion.<edited><editID>xflow7</editID><editDate>2007-03-27 05:24:22</editDate></edited>

They just had this on CNN. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/biggrin5.gif

Apparently they were filming a promotion for his new film (which makes more sense). Can't understand where the link got the "charity racing event" thing though.

Car belonged to the executive producer of the film. D'oh! How to ensure you never have to work with a producer again. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/biggrinjester.gif

Boy does that fat pig of car understeer or what! Mazda, I told you you can have too much power in an autox. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/ack2.gif http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/biggrin5.gif Tom

"too much" and "power" should never be spoken or written together http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/ack2.gif

I just need more tire. Seriously, my car isn't optimized for autox, or anything else for that matter. It's just fun to drive.

Can you imagine the owner of the Enzo seeing that vid? http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/banghead.gif

The other thing that stood out to me is how stiff that chassis is. Pretty amazing.

Yeah, a head on crash and the front hood isn't even dented. That's a carbon fiber body too isn't it? What do you think... 200k to repair?

If you have to ask...

I wonder if an Enzo would make a suitable donor for a "Middie" locost? http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/ack2.gif http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/rofl.gif http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/ack2.gif http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/biggrin5.gif

I dont' know if it is correct but the News were saying its a total loss. A 1.2 million crash http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/confused5.gif . Does carbon fiber completely fracture so the whole tub absorbed the impact? After the crash pictures didn't look that bad.
