Found these on Autoblog today. First, Caterham is releasing a limited edition Seven celebrating the 50 year anniversary:

Second, Lotus is releasing a track-only derivative of the Elise, and it looks wild:

The 2-eleven has caused the first serious case of car lust since I drove a Caterham SV for the first time.

I agree! I wonder if the name has anything to do with the old Lotus Eleven? This new car could be seen as a modern interpretation of the old Eleven. I'm glad they didn't name it the 7-Eleven http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/lol.gif <edited><editID>soareyes</editID><editDate>2007-03-01 08:43:16</editDate></edited>

Am I the only one who finds the 50th anniverary livery a bit unappealing?

First Seven was polished, right?

Yes, I think the second color scheme option of black with gold and silver trim would look better than the car in the photo above.

<-------- I do like the new badge though!<edited><editID>soareyes</editID><editDate>2007-03-01 09:14:32</editDate></edited>
