Highlights for new threads

Not sure if that is just my forum or browser settings. But when I have read a new thread the highlight for "unread" stays on for hours.

In comparison on the CCC forum that is using the same vBulletin software the "new thread" marker goes away immediately after I read it. Can I change some settings to improve that?

Hey Mazda,
Sometimes when I read a thread and back to the main forum all of the new thread highlights go away. I usually just reboot and it seems to clear the issue up for me but sometimes it dose not.
