I will be there, with the Caterham SV and my wife. I haven't actually registered, or decided what to participate in, but drives with other 7s are my goal. Also, I would like to encourage meals with the 7 group over the entire LOG group when feasible.

Try and get there in time for the complementary reception (i.e., free feed sponsored by Lotus USA on Friday evening).
Definitely want to do that - everyone has said it is good evening and a beer will soothe the dry throat from the drive!

I'm planning on attending with new/old Seven. Very interested in setting a rendezvous point for Wednesday in VA and driving up a scenic byway with a few other Sevens on Thurs.
What!!!! You plan to drive it???? I thought you were going to display it on your coffee table to show off to guests?
:jester:
In all seriousness...I will be looking forward to seeing it, especially since I used to own (and abuse) a sister car from the same year. :driving:

I've been giving some serious thought to heading East for LOG30. It's "only" 1,623 miles from here, an easy 3 day trip, almost all on the interstate which in my case is a good thing as I will be trailering the Caterham.
What ranges of temperature, humidity and precipitation are likely in mid-October in the Gettysburg area? We usually get our first snow storms in October out here in Colorado. Is that likely to happen in Gettysburg?
Will the trees have turned their colors and still be on the trees or will they be on the ground by then?

some color change. noaa or weather/accuweather.com should be able to give historic and average temperature ranges. I would expect overnight lows in the upper 40s/low 50s, day highs upper 50s->60s. some variation, but fall would have just started.

My ex-law partner is a graduate of Gettysburg College and says that it is really the perfect time of year there. Cool nites, mild days, generally dry (tho it is still hurricane season and that can be a wild-card wetness wise). He admits he may have air-brushed away some of the flaws over the 40+ years since he graduated:).

Full fall colors in this area is usually around mid to late October. Weather if it doesn't rain will be in the 55-70 range during the days and great cool nights.
Great time of year. Tom

There are a group of Denver CO area people that are going to drive to LOG. There is at least one Lotus Seven and a Elan in the group. I think they are all part of the LOCO club. You could hook up with them.
The date for LOG was chosen, by the locals in part for the weather. The apple harvest festival is the week prior to LOG.
Get the local tourist guide at http://www.gettysburg.travel/visitor/guide.asp
This is the best site for Gettysburg climate that I have found http://www.city-data.com/city/Gettysburg-Pennsylvania.html

Dean,
Thanks for the info.
I'm a member of the LOCO club. Those folks are leaving early and taking a route that wouldn't be very interesting with my truck and trailer. I plan to burn across I-70 in about 2 1/2 days.
