Hey folks,

New to the site here, my name is Ryan and I've been building up a Miata powered Lotus 7 replica for the last 2 and a half years now. The car is a tube framed Coveland frame and a 1.8 Miata donor. Plan is to mainly track the car at HPDEs, track days and hillclimbs once she is all done...which hopefully should be this summer (car is being finished at a friends shop...I took her as far as it will go with my skills haha, need someone to bring it across the finish line).

I live in Queens and would love to meet up with some locals (NY, NJ, PA, CT) sometime to see your cars, get some inspiration and remind me why I feel in love with the 7 in the first place

Here is a shot of my 7 as she sits. Excuse the cardboard hardtop.

Man, I'd love to...missed out on going to the Kit Car Nats last year...can't make it this weekend though.

And the June 12th cruise I'll be going to the Governor's Island Brewfest

I just finished reading through your GTO board posting - wow that is a long one. It even features Slngsht early on with the Franken7

I am also local - just not as close as Jon. I head to Carlisle tomorrow and my next day off is Sat May 29 if you want to catch up then.

Wow, you read that entire thread? If so, my apologies haha.

Much love for the LSX Franken7, that 7 is a beast.

Croc - what are the specs on your 7?

Ship Inn is in Milford NJ way over on the Delaware River side. If things change for you, we will be meeting at 10 am Jun 12 for a drive, blat, run or whatever it is called..

Caterham 7 with a standard Ford Zetec SVT with a T-9 gearbox - no real enhancements allowed to the engine in NJ (not if I want to keep it registered). So I get to spend my money elsewhere on the car :D

Croc sending you a PM. I'll be in NJ this weekend for a family BBQ...maybe I can swing by to say hi!

Bruce - Thanks again for the offer. I would really love to make it but we already bought our tickets to Brewfest. Next time for sure!
