Well I think I have it narrowed it down after talking to a few people. I am going to buy/build a motorcycle powered Locost.
Upon searching the internet I could only find two companies/suppliers that still offered this kit in the United States (Westfield and MK Indy).
I was wondering if there were any more companies that offer these kits besides the two listed.
Thanks in advance!

well, talk to andrew7, and jeff (somebody help me with Jeff's forum handle. i can't remember). Both did scratch build BEC.
You should really at least go for a ride in one (really more than one kind of seven) before you choose your path.

I did. There was a local guy near me in Sterling that had one the out the other while I was getting fuel. He gave me a test ride because I told him I was interested in one.
He isn't on the board (already asked) and he didn't seem too keen on joining either.
It is funny that you replied though because I was just writing up a message to you to schedule a date to get a ride. :P

hmmm. a guy in sterling? was it a bike engined car? If so, I have seen his car (when he was still building it). He actually put my car on the scales at a shop out there. I do not recall his name though. If that's him it's great that his car is on the road.

what did you ride?It was a Zetec powered Westfield. His was street legal (I don't plan on making mine street legal) but it was definitely a very interesting ride. I couldn't stop smiling and giggling like a little schoolgirl after it was over. Very nice gentleman though...probably in his late 40s.
I sent the PM saying Saturday but I can definitely do Sunday if that is better for you.

Nah it wasn't a bike engined car...I wish it was though.

Jeff U's forum name is "R1 Seven". He has a nice write-up on his build here: http://www.underwood-racing.com/project_seven.htm (http://www.underwood-racing.com/project_seven.htm)

Yeah I've read his build a few times now. :)
I also emailed him too so I am just waiting for him to reply.
Have you read my build diary? It's got my humor mixed throughout. :D

Not to sound like a stalker but I have read your build diary about 10 times in the last couple weeks. Anytime I need something to cheer me up, I just go read your diary and it puts a smile on my face. :)

DaveW, who is a member here too, posted a reply to Reason's parallel thread on the LocostUSA forum suggesting a Dax Rush... It sounds like he may be a dealer for Dax..?
I like the Dax well enough to post replies on both forums. It's a good looking car with some interesting options. The MK Indy is priced lower, but the Dax is well worth considering.
I especially like the non-bike-engined Dax Rush in the picture on the left... It took me a couple of months of looking at it before I realized that the rear fenders especially are definitely Dax Rush.
