A few months ago I acquired about getting a replica 7 and some local guys offered test rides since I was undecided on what kind I wanted.

So this post is to get a list of people that are willing to provide a test ride in the Washington DC metro area. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just post your name, location and the type of car.

Thanks in advance!

Another idea is o go to the Carlisle Import/Kit nationals in May (21-23). There has been a good sized group of Sevens (from this group)of all makes and models at this show the last few years. Great way to visit with a bunch of owners and try on many different Sevens at one time.

Frankn7 is my car.
I have to forewarn you. It's a home built, rough around the edges, and a bit overpowered (V8). It is not a good representative of a typical seven. I didn't offer it up cause I didn't want to influence your decision one way or the other, but you're welcome to come for a spin.

I know Brunton has a V8/LSx kit available now and it did cross my mind because I LOVE power. I'm in FL for a couple of days, and schedule is looking crazy for next week (going away for kids' spring break). Are you around Saturday morning? Might be able to do it then if you're available.

Geran,

I'm in Reston and I'm happy to give you a ride in an Ultralite. My schedule is tight over the next couple of weekends but after that we should be able to coordinate something. My e-mail is jeffwduncan@gmail.com

I am restoring a 1984 Rotus, which is 4 inches wider than a Caterham and 10 inches longer, less tight to sit in than the originals. It needs bodywork and paint. Mechanically it is coming along. It has a raspy Harley Davidson muffler that I'm not sure I'm crazy about. Anyway the mechanicals and electrical all work. Engine and transmission are strong. It has new wet/cold weather gear.

It is rough but fun.
You are welcome to give it a try. Call Steve: 240-271-8964. I am in Silver Spring and this is my toy project and not a daily driver.
