I was looking on the autocross threads and found series 1 dimensions. I know sevens are small but when I compared them to my locost, mine seems supersized er, Americanized. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/smile5.gif I was wondering how close other sevens where?

cockpit ID width 37.5" vs 44"

wheelbase   88" vs 92.5"

width 55" vs 69" (wide track suspension)

height 39.5" vs 44"

OAL 131.5" vs 128" (series 1 includes spare)

How do the dimensions compare to your car?

My car is 22" longer http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/shocked.gif

One feature of the rotus is that the gas tank is in front of the rear axle, behind the driver seat. That contributes to the longer length and the wheelbase.

yeah, The nose could be a few inches shorter, and the gas tank area is not usually there in a typical seven. Those two alone would account for about a foot.

The Birkin dimensions are near identical to the original Lotus.

Wheel base: 88"

Front track: 49" (53" with wide track option)

Rear track: 53"

Overall width: 64"

Overall length: 138" (I believe including spare tire)

Cockpit width outside: 40"

All dimensions are rounded.

This is an interesting photo showing how small a Birkin is compared to more typical cars and trucks on the road.

Thanks All,

I was concerned my car was out of proportion with most sevens, kind of square and froggish looking and not small, long and sleek. The numbers I see suggest I'm not too far off. The Birkin photo is a great comparison. I am always reminded how small I am when I'm driving in town and at a red light I can read peoples tire specifications. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/lol.gif

I could use his trunk (boot) as a garage!
