This weekend i was witness to a shocking display of environmental terrorism.
Truck and Tractor pulls at the local (wayne county ohio) fair.
Dont get me wrong, i am not a tree hugger, i drive a old british engine around so i am guilty too..
However i have my lotus running as lean as i can, and i have spent money and time to try and stop the oil leaks..
but these deisel trucks and tractors were disgusting.
Tornado's of black hydrocarbons exploding out of the deisel powered vehicles had the crowds choking and gasping.
they were using 2-3 cans of ether to keep them going and people had to leave the area.
they leaved trails of quarts of oil on the ground.
Trenia has to even throw away a new t-shirt because of the oily soot that came down.
Was this really neccissary? i was just as thrilled at the gas and alchohol powered machinery without having to gag while watching them!
was part of the excitment watching fairgrounds get polluted?
i wouldnt want the events to stop, i understand and appreciate the thrill of this motorsport (although it's nothing i would do with the lotus...LMAO).
but the pollution was shamefull.
frightingly, the raw pollution gives motorsports a bad name, thats not cool at all!
