can anyone tell me the ballpark for gallons per hour of track time? or MPG at the track and I can take it from there? Is it more like 10 MPG or 5 MPG?

I went thru the same calcuations for my track day at Barber, but a 1.8L 4 banger may get a slightly different result than your 5.7L 8. :D

I think it also depends on how long you keep the loud pedal down. If I remember Jefferson Circuit correctly, it's a tight little course with only a couple straights.

As for my Barber experience. I used about 3/4 tank, so around 6-7 gallons for 5, 15 minute sessions.

Cool. even if I get half the mileage, 5 gallons should be enough for a 25 minute session. I was a little worried about that.

With a '96 Miata at Beaver Run, we were getting about 9 mpg. The typical highway milage is 26. Of course with an LS1, maybe you should be thinking gallons per minute?

Heh, the only time i measured my fuel economy, I got 26 MPG. problem with the LS1 is it can burn alot more when the go pedal goes down.

10 mpg in Crossflow
9 mpg in Miata.
4.5 MPG in Evo.
12 MPG in 4 cyl Accord.
Waiting to see what 414 hp M3 does at upcoming track day-I am expecting 4-5 mpg.
