Dale just delivered to me an alternator that he found in Wichita. I can’t thank Dale enough for digging and finding that an alternator from a 1993 LANDROVER - DEFENDER 110 - 3.9L - 3947cc will fit a Westfield mount on a 1.8 Liter Zetec.
Westfield calls for a Lucas LRB 172 but there weren’t any 1.8 engines brought into North America with this alternator thus no one stocks it.
The best price I could find on the Lucas was $240 + freight from FL.
They are very common in England and retail is 85 GBP but it is the freight that will kill you. Westfield’s courier wanted close to $250 door to door.
