I like the temp garage photo (second photo) and the car seems to have a good home with an owner with a since of humor.
Have fun and enjoy your ride.

I don't think this is a good idea. Imagine the trucker hauls the trailer away without noticing. :d

I know it would be a disaster........but would be the lowest 7 on the road.....and besides I bet Janscrawford knows the owner of the trailer or at least the truck driver.

That towstrap looks a bit dangerous, but beautiful rotus you have there. Those wheels appear to be SSR formula Mesh...

Which towstrap?? Wheels were purchased from Mazda, they are BBS

Thanks guys! The trailer is an old abandoned one behind one of our local Lowes, there was no truck attached and I have know idea who owned it! I guess you could say I like to live dangerously! But hey it was starting to rain!

The Clamshell Fenders really make the car.
Clamshells over cycle fenders......loose the cycle fenders

It came with the cycle fenders, trust me I agree with you, if it were a racecar maybe but the clamshells are too classic.

:7drive: clamshells > cycle fenders

I was referring to the towstrap in the first picture.

Those wheels do look remarkably similar to SSR's... I haven't seen BBS with that particular shape.

here's a shot of the SSR mesh.

Wow those are very similar! I coulbe wrong... I can't recall if I saw them stamped with BBS or just assumed they were BBS.

As for the tow strap, its a G-Force Racing tie down strapped to the frame of the Rotus tied to a D-ring just behind the hitch on the trailer. The car only weighs 1200 lbs.!!! ;)

very nice collection.

Those wheels are BBS, and the similarity to the SSR wheels is

I had a hard time finding stuff for those wheels, but finally did. If you ever need to change anything on them, you won't find them in any BBS distributor. Call BBS racing directly. Have any casting numbers handy, as well as the number of bolts that hold the wheels together. Using that info, they were able to identify the wheels.

Nice collection, thanks for sharing! We have similar tastes in cars! :)

My wife Nancy is originally from Lexington, and I went to UK and lived down there in the late 70's and early 80's. That shot of the M3 parked on the corner near the horse farm reminded me of the beautiful countryside and the great driving roads there are in the area!!

I agree with the nice collection...! I also owned a 1970 MGB GT. We loved it. Currently my other car is a '99 Miata.

Are you happy with your Hanmegson lift? Is that the Pro-6MR? My four car garage is pretty full but I have always thought the the portable scissor lift would be a nice addition.

Yes and no... Its great for changing tires, oil and brakes... That’s about its limit, it is extremely difficult to change tranny fluids and get to anything that doesn't hang over the ends of the lift. It also requires a lot of ground clearance to get cars up onto it. We had to make 2 inch tall ramps to pull onto in order to clear the frail rails on most of our cars... My MG clears it, but the M3 hangs up on it even with the risers... Oh it is a Pro-6MR! Oh and its not so portable ;) its soo heavy!
