Is there anyone on the board that lives in Daytona Beach Fl.? I am looking at buying an engine on ebay but they wont ship. I need someone local that can pick it up and put it on a pallet. I will get a shipping company to pick it up. I will be willing to compensate you for your effort and time.

Fedex has a department for big bulk item like the engine. I don't know the name of the department but you can ask them.
Year ago, I bought an engine in Alabama. I called the fedex and they dispatched a truck with forklift. They put the engine in the crate and sent it to me. I gave them my Visa card and that's it!
yeah yeah yeah, but what did you buy ?? :)

A good deal on a 2.2L S2000 for future projects.

Loren,
Define "good deal". Still looking on and off for an engine/trans for my Ultralite.

Any low mileage engine I prefer under 30k miles for under 2k is a good deal.

At that price I assume you are buying just the engine, not a complete package (engine-trans-ecu-wiring harness)? Prices I've seen for a complete package seem to be in the $5000 - $6000 range. Havent yet come across anything that I was willing to spend that kind of money on. Either the engine or the seller has scared me off so far. Any suggestions on a good source?

I have had good luck with craigslist. I bought a 2.2L engine out of Cali with ecu and harness for 1700.00 with 7k miles. Trans can be found for 800.00 . There are many eng/trans set ups on ebay for 3500.00 range. I will let you know when I find another deal. Brian has a few good transmissions for 800.00

I know of a great race shop who are right next to Daytona. Give Stu Brumer at BSI Racing a call on 1 386 677 5778 , he may be willing to do it as they ship engines all the time.
