Hi Everybody,
There's a Westfield SE on E-bay, Replica| Kit Makes, and it's at the local Porsche dealer, Don Rosen Imports.
So I took the S1 over to check it out, I have never seen a Westy. Looks very nice, needs a good cleaning, runs good, they offered a drive, but I pasted. The owner is selling because he will get his new Beck Spyder tomorrow. Owner said he put the reserve down to 12.000. Seems like it can be had at a very fair price.
General Manager, Keith Shaw, said he will sell it without going thru E-Bay.
Hopes this helps someone looking for a 7. Steve http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1196464375_Westy SE 002.jpg

Here's the description and the ebay link:
Available for sale is an extremely rare Westfield Seven SE with only 10K original miles. The Westfield is built in England copying the famous Lotus Super Seven. The car is titled in PA as a 1965 Lotus. The car was built in 1996 and has been owned by the owner of the dealership for the last 10 years. It is a 1600 cc 155 hp English Ford (Cortina) engine with a 5 speed transmission. It is equipped with Weber carbs and headers as standard equipment on the higher horse power engine. More information can be found on the Westfield Sportscar website, www.westfield-sportscars.co.uk. The car weighs just 1350 pounds. The Westfield is very similar to a Caterham but with a fiberglass body. The car includes the convertible top and side curtains. The car is in excellent condition, runs fine. It needs some detailing to be perfect. The car can be seen at Don Rosen Imports, Conshohocken, PA. Contact Keith Shaw at 610 279 4100. PA and NJ buyers must pay state sales tax and registration fees. All other states must pay $75.00 for a PA transit tag. All buyers must have a valid drivers license and insurance.

You got me going, S1Steve, with the reserve price down to 12,000. It's actually been lowered to 21k from 22k according to Keith Shaw. I just returned from driving the car.
The car has been neglected. Engine is weaping oil from several places. Oil catch tank nearly full (quart+). It does run decent and the Webers idle OK. All linkages are stiff or notchy. Brakes are ineffective. I see it just got bid 1 on Ebay with 2 hrs to go. For 20k+ buy a new one and use Miata power for slickness of controls and reliability.
Back to the garage.........
The Spyder is beatuful, by the way.

Jon,
Thanks for the up-date, now I am glad I did'nt drive it. Having a car sit just kills them.

Yep. I have been watching this one myself. No such luck at $12k. It is at $16k right now and hasn't hit reserve. I know of way better cars for less money.

I've seen Doug's car - there is no comparison to the one on eBay. For a no issues car, his is the one to own.
