There is an article in the May 2008 issue of KIT CAR MAGAZINE regarding Morris Clements very nice and very fast Kirkham 427 Cobra. Here is the link to the article.

I have had the opportunity to meet Morris and see his car run at the last three Run N Gun Events at Gateway Intl Speedway. No question it is awesome fast and loud.
Don't get me wrong here...I love Cobras and if I had all the money in the world, I would probably own one. However, I would like to share an observation.
On the Road Course Dennis Brunton in his SuperStalker was a tad over 1 second faster than this very Kirkham in the article driven by Morris at the 2007 R N G event. I believe Dennis' average speed in the Stalker was 87 MPH, or 127 ft/second. This means that Dennis pulled 127 feet or 10 car lengths EVERY LAP!!! After 3 laps we are looking at something like the length of a football field.
I think in racing it is not necessarily who has the top speed is automatically the winner but who gets to the finish line first when you put it all together.
SE7ENS RULE...!!!!!
