I tried them both ways, the standard way just seemed to have them hanging out too far, and visibility is still good with them tucked in close.

Wow BEAUTIFUL...... You have done some great work....

I would have loved to be able to take my time and build a car like you have done.
We had to have ours on the ground and track ready in 8 weeks. I'm still tired from that.

Car is looking absolutely wonderful.

I am curious to see what you come up with for the pedal assy. I see the steering wheel is mounted above the lower dash bar instead of below it. I am anxiously awaiting to see how you manage get that larger collapseable steering column around the pedals at the angle. I see you move the front mount down a few inches which will help but still going to be a real tight fit unless you are really tall and will have the pedals mounted way down in the well.

I really like the shifter boot and center console, those are tough to make look good.

What brand of wheels do you have? I have not noticed that one in my wheel search. What size and offset do you have?

So I do have the whole pedal assembly sorted out, as far as spacing, clearance and overall positioning. I am 5'9", and I think I like the pedals closer to me than the average driver. Right now the pedal assembly is mounted on the included slides, which are then mounted on 1" square aluminum tubes, which are on 1/4" aluminum angle or flat stock. This seems like it might put the pedals way high off the floor, but actually they are only about 1/2" higher than the brake pedal in my M3, and that's before carpet or anything on the floor of the Ultralite.
You saw where I lowered the front mount for the steering column using a pice of 5/8"-18 allthread and a coupling nut, plus the rear mount at the dash is about a gnat's eyelash above the dash frame tube. All of those added together allow the pedals to slide close enough before the 90 deg SS brake line end bumps into the oversize steering shaft.

Thanks on the center console, it was a huge PITA, probably my least favorite part of the whole build... still not 100% sorted out.

The wheels are SSR GT-10's, 18x8's 35mm offset front and rear. Tires are 235/40-18 PS2's.

PS2 are really good tires. We used them during 1 Lap. Kevin said they were excellent in the wet. Not that you would want to drive that car in the rain. They performed well in the dry as well.

Attach some pics of the pedal assy when you can. I have a few plans for my new car but would like to see what you came up with.

Mondo - Nope, that's just my fuel-pump mounting bracket that secures it into the surge box that goes inside the FuelSafe Cell. Did you get your front fenders mounted? You can see mine are on now, let me know if you have any questions. Nevermind, I just saw the pic of your car at Buttonwillow, with fenders!

I had to extend the upper mounting tab to get the gigantic heim to clear the frame tube so I could get the steering shaft down close to the tube.
