Anybody know of a source for Girling rebuild kits for brake master cylinder for my '92 Caterham? Can't believe the only alternative is to buy a complete new unit ($400) which is the dealer's sugestion. Caterham US doesn't list a kit in their on-line catalog. Don

don't know anything about caterham masters, but damn, $400?!

is it different than the standard master cylinders you can get from Tilton? If not, you just need to know the bore size...

Was trying to keep OE but................
I'll pull it apart, check the bore size and investigate my options.

I would bet that if you took the old seals to a import auto parts dealer and told them it's from a "92" Girling master cylinder with this Diameter, that they could match a rebuild kit. Even if you had to get 3 $10 kits it would still be a lot cheaper.

All I can say is that Caterham most be very proud of the master cylinder.

Sorry but I just got a complete Toyota rebuilt Master cylinder for my seven and it cost a grand total of $38. Dave :7drive:

I bought three new Toyota master cylinders for my car. One was $12 and the other two were $25 each. :d
