I'm watching for a watch! My wife was asking if it would be here before Christmas.

Since there was no "All of the above", I chose "More than one of the above" :D

A Se7en watch, the first wrist watch I've ever owned. Not sure if I will be able to adapt to wearing it.
Tonneau cover, new headlight brackets, brake calipers and a few other things.

My goodie box contains a new front grill with the 7 emblem, The' watch, shocks, a T shirt from Tony V, and, while its not in a box, a 711M Xflow engine to rebuild.

I got a nice "Age and Treachery Racing Team" jacket (my car club) from my 7 and 7 got a new Union Jack emblem to fit in the nose from me. EviLRomeO, I'll trade you my high maintainence 17yr old daughter for your G/F. She can't be any worse. Don't forget she starts college next year. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Russ

All three boys (ages 18-31) were thrilled that Santa brought them each a Tony V "Seven" t-shirt. Hopefully that means I will get mine back sometime soon!

I got a new set of cams!
I've got to quit cruising ebay, it is a very expense habit. I don't know how to install the cams yet, but I know that if I get into trouble, Gert's Garage™ is just a phone call away!

Stan, I am happy to help any time....but what is "Gert's Garage"? Do you mean "Gert's Junk and Incredibly Messy Pile of Shit"™ as witnessed by the recently taken picture below? Somewhere in there the digital gages for the cam timing are buried. Should not take me more than 5 minutes to find

P.S.: That happens if you go for 2 years doing several projects and never tidy up

Stan,
Don't let these guys give you any guff about your garage's organizational aspects. I use the exact same system. At least one other USA7 member can attest to this.
What many of them don't realize is that there is a definite method to this technique. Once one is trained in it's various idiosyncrasies, work flow is streamlined to levels that will never be experienced by the average "everything-in-it's-place" mechanic.
Now, where's that set of mole grips...

I used to own a shop many years ago. I would always be looking for a pen around the shop. One day I got fed up and went and spent $10 at Walmart and flooded the shop with pens... everytime I wanted one, I would just pick it from the new box. For the next couple of years, there was no need to look for a pen. The time savings over time more than paid for the cost of the pens.

Having had a look at Stan's garage gives me hope!
I was considering doing a New Year's clean up but now I feel inspired to leave my "man cave" just as it is!
Thank you Stan! You Rule Dude!

Wait! That picture is actually a pic of Gert's (slomove) garage. Here is a picture of mine I just took. Not much neater, but at least I can park cars inside! :d
My poor Birkin has been sitting idle under the cover for the last few weeks even with our decent weather here in S. California :nonod:

My apologies Stan.
I meat to direct my comments to Gert and his garage.

Then again, Ptttbb! You will never understand the one and only true man cave until you repent and rip down all that pagan pegboard.:d
My neighbors have desecrated the sanctity of the garage by parking their everyday transportation within. It's disgusting...

Yes, I noticed, amazing. I also saw this with a few other cars. Some have no dust, no dirt and no debris in all the nooks and crannies of the engine bay.
When I look at my Seven there is dust, a little oily residue, dead insects etc. all over the place, only to be removed with a pressure washer once a while. At one time I found a mummified ground squirrel. What am I doing wrong?

Nothing. You are having too much fun driving it to spend your time on an AR cleanup. Different strokes for different blokes, as they say.
I've only washed mine once when it got muddy, the rest of the time it is the California duster or some Final Inspection. Having most of the body work covered with clearbra makes this quick and easy.

My engine bay used to be pristine. But a few drives in the rain, a few coolant hose incidents later, not so much. I actually hate that it's not as purty as it used to be. My CF too.

My car's only got 1800 miles on it, and it is garaged and covered, and only driven in the rain once. Other than a wipe down of the body after every drive, I've not had the car cleaned since I bought it. I'm not much of a fan of pressure washing, fearing damage to the electrics, but I expect some compressed air now and then can get rid of some of the debris in the chassis.
