Just recently found the forum, courtesy of the se7ens mail list....
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>I race a Caterham in SCCA, E Prod., mostly Northeast Division. A group of 5 of us race Caterhams thru Chip Bond's GT Classics shop (built and sold some, still owns a couple, maintains most of them).</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>So who else out there races a 7 in SCCA, NASA, or any other group?</DIV>

Welcome Catie. I don't track my car, but I know that Bart L. (who is forum member) does. He drives a black car sans lights, Vauxhall power, I think.

Hello Catie,

I don't race but I use my 93 Caterham HPC exclusively on racetracks.

I instruct for a number of clubs and some "professional" schools (professional in the sense of for profit).

Most of my track time is spent at Mid Ohio, Watkins Glen and BeaveRun. I have also had the opportunity to run at Lime Rock, Gingerman, Nelson Ledges, VIR, and Road Atlanta.

I probably average 20 to 25 track days per season.

My next event is at Watkins Glen (9/18-19) where I will be instructing for NASA and PDA. I finish my track season at BeaveRun where I will be instructing on 9/29-30 and 10/1.

My Caterham has been a real hoot to drive for the 13 years that I have owned it and it's still faster than me.

Bart, very kewl! I've raced at all but Gingerman and RA in the Cat, but have raced a Sprite at RA before they modified (ruined in my opinion) the bridge turn. Ever get to Summit Point?

Catie-do you happen to have a relative in the NJ/PA area? I met someone a few weeks back who knew what my car was because his sister raced one...I'm assuming (and potentially making the proverbial ass of myself) that you are a woman by your handle.

I'm guessing Chris' handle is a shorthand for Caterham. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/biggrin5.gif

Very good! I thought Catie was a good name for her and an OK handle on the forum.

No relatives in NJ/PA area, just MD and GA. And you are correct Al. But there can't be many women racing 7's, so I'm really wonder who it is.<edited><editID>Catie</editID><editDate>2006-09-15 12:59:01</editDate></edited>

Hi Catie,

As luck would have it this is my frist time on this thread.

I just did my first PDX on the Shenandoah Saturday with WDCR Time Trials group. Their first event. Lots of fun. Lots to learn. Lauren was telling me about a girl named Catie that drove a Caterham in EP and very well I might add.

It would be great if you were one of the instructors at our next event on June 3rd. I think it will be on the Jefferson. You drive and I'll ride, watch and learn.

If you would ever like to try autocrossing a Seven, you are welcome to try mine at one of the FedEx events.
