If you are replying to an existing thread, click on the http://usa7s.com/aspnetForum/themes/yafvision/b_post_reply.png button.

Right under the smilies, you will see an "Upload Image" button. Clicking that button will pop up a screen that will allow you to pick a file by clicking "Browse". Once you have picked the file, click "Upload". When the file is uploaded, you will get a message box. Click OK, and the main window will be updated with the link.

You can follow the same exact process when making a new thread, or a very similar process by clicking the "Attach" button for one of your existing posts.

Mazda, most of the pics I see posted are about 600 x 450. When I try to post a pic @ 484 x 366, I get a message "pic must be less than 620 x 280". What am I doing wrong. Thanks, Jim

Jim, it could be the images are hosted somewhere else and linked here, as opposed to uploaded here.

Can you point me to an example? also, I will increase the size to 640X480

Jim, I raised the sizes to 800X640 maximum. There is still a limit on overall file size which I may have to increase.

Also, if you start an album, the max there is 800X800.

I don't want the attachments to get too big because of bandwidth (makes threads slower to load) and storage requirements.

Thanks.

Mazda, Sorry to bother you again. I just realized my problem is the pics have too many bytes. I was going to post to the off topic section, so it is no big deal. Thanks again, Jim

Mazda,

I have tried to add pictures three times to my new thread in Off Topic. I'm getting a different manage attachments window that allows up to 5 photos to be selected before uploading. Problem is the pictures seem to disappear when I submit the post.

Also, is there a way to insert text between pictures as we used to on the previous version of the forum?

Thanks,

Mazda,

That was the problem, no space allowed for any more photos.

Is there any way to insert text between the pictures? It would be nice to be able to caption each picture.
