Looking to cut build time down....
I am looking for a Frame jig that someone may have left over from their build.
Or
I would like to aquire a frame only if the price is right. Perfer round tube.
I have most other parts for vehicle, I am just missing a frame to hold it all together.
Looking for item located near or reasonable distance near Detroit.

Yea, I have looked at most of the US manufacturers and just haven't found one that wants to sell me just the frame. Or they want an arm and a leg for it.
Here in Michigan we have a chassis sales shop that has 4130 steel for cheap and I can get all the tube steel for the frame for less than $400.00 but I have to take a day off work then drive to the other side of the state, then build the thing. But if I can get an inexpensive chassis and save me a lot of welding them I will but if not I guess I build one. I want a round tube frame, but i the price is right i will settle on getting the car done a lot earlier than I predict now.

I looked into most of the available basic kit packages but due to the Donor car I am using and the setup of the suspension I would have to make so may modification to the chassis to start with I figure it is easier to build from scratch than cut up a $2000+ frame.
I was deciding on building a McSorley Wide body unless anyone has had any issues from it.

If you couldn't guess from the name, thats my thread over on locostusa. I've been lurking here while I was planning my build.
My 2 cents, if you can build your own chassis..... do so. I would have but lack the welding skill/experience for a car frame.

If anyone else was interested in a Jig located near Las Vagas I have a contact there that has one. He has a Frame jig and a partially built frame.
It just was to exspensive to ship to Michigan. The amount to ship I might as well build a Jig and a car.
Drop me a line and I will forward his email. I just dont want to post it for his privacy.
If anyone else has any other leads please let me know

I think the odds are pretty low that you will find a frame made from round tubing. If you can get all the tubing and brackets for $400, you are going to be much better off building it yourself. The building the table and the, lay out and a few braces is only going to take 10 to 15 hours. That's only a drop in the bucket for the total build. The frame is really less the 10% of the process.
If you are time limited the best bet is finding a half built car that some one has lost interest in.
Keep searching Dave W

Well after a long wait it seems as if I just need to build my own.
I had set up a deal where I would drive down from Detriot to Nashville and even went out of my way to arrange it the same time I went to Indianapolis on Business.
I was to spend the week in Indy and was to pick up the chassis on Thurs. Even arranged a company truck (and company gas) :hurray: .
When I left on Sunday to start my company trip to Indy, I called the seller and OPPPS he sold it.
This of course was after I told him I was coming, after I offered a deposit (he said it wasn't necessary), after I made all the arrangements, after he told me "well I guess I will pull all the ads and it is yours."
Well suddenly the story changed to "well I couldnt pass up a sure sale for a possible future one. " :banghead:
Ok well I guess I should just take that as a sign to build my own.
SOOOOOO.....
If anyone else would like to make or have me make a chassis near Detroit let me know. looks like im making jigs.

Contact me off line, I can probably give you a few pointers on setting up your build table and fixtures.
I'll be in Michigan for the next few weeks.
