Day 11 was rough. We had to catch the ferry from Victoria back to the US. We did not make reservations so we ended up getting up at 4am (UGH!) to park our cars in line for the ferry. We figured if we were able to get our cars in line by 7am we could make the 10:30am ferry. I am guessing we arrived at the terminal around 5am, and were suprised to hear that we would make it on the 6:10 ferry. I had not anticipated this and had to catch a taxi back to the hotel to get the rest of our stuff!!

Despite this early start to the day, it was a really great day.

Yea, it was early...this is as the ferry was leaving the port:

I was just listening to Headline News, and there was a story about FBI looking for 2 men for suspicious activity on the ferry... taking pictures of sensitive areas, emergency exit diagrams, etc...

A passenger took a picture of them, but they have been unable to locate them. HN had the picture.

Crazy.

I love Olympic...will you guys make it to Crescent Lake Lodge? Great view from the dock...but then again, it doesn't seem like you've been wanting for scenery.

Al, I don't think any of us stopped at the lodge, but we did drive along the shore.

A few more pics: Me taking a picture of Gert taking a picture of the sunrise on the ferry:

Since we had to get up so early to catch the ferry, John decided to take a nap on the way up to Hurricane Ridge

That's not a tour, it's a marathon.
Does no one work?
Not that I am jealous.

IMO, they have it right, and we're suckers for working so much.
