I can no longer drive my Rotus 7. It was on the road 18 June 06 before my operation. It is either #21 or #22. It needs lots of stuff. I have lots of stuff. It is located in Silver Spring MD. Come take a look at it. I will give you a list of what it needs and what I have. You make me an offer, AS IS. You take care of inspection. email me or call on 301-460-0392.

I spoke to Alec yesterday. Seems like a very nice guy.
Since there are very few around, and only 1 or 2 change hands every year, it's hard to say. I think the last one on ebay sold for 9K. It all depends on what it needs.
I live about 20 minutes from Alec. He said he'll email some pictures to me, so when I get them, I'll upload them here.
By the way, welcome to the forum

What is a fair price for a Rotus?
$7k if in bad shape. $10k if in better shape.

I am in the process of buying a Rotus from an old friend of mine. He is giving me a good deal and I was just curious what others have gone for. It has the Buick 215 in it and is in great shape. I will post more on the car when I receive it later this week.

Updates from Alec:
2 litre Toyota 2TC/3TC, 5 speed drive train
Approximately 30k miles since built
Solid rear axle
WHAT IT NEEDS
From outside supplier:
Tonneau
Top, side curtains are like new
Driver’s seat bottom
New battery box or battery, battery is new
MGA dash mirror
By new owner:
New windshield washer nozzles
Headlight buckets, I have
Sidelights, I have replacements
Front bumper crossbar, for inspection
Redo wiring, primarily grounds I think
Brakes need purging, I will try to have done this week
I started the car after a month yesterday. It is fully sorted and streetable. Why start from scratch or spend $35+k on a Caterham? I have smog test exemption, lots of historical stuff and Mikuni/Solex tuning parts.

The car belongs to Alec. He does not get online often, so give him a ring. His number is in the first post on this thread.
