The car is equipped with the original Brillstein Shocks and springs, I have
several front anti-sway bars and an adjustable rear anti-sway bar (all to be
included)
Four 13 x 6 Panosport Wheels will be included.
Brief history of this car:
I ordered this car from Chris at Sevens & Elans in March of 1993 and took
delivery of my kit in Nov. 1993. My intention was to build a reliable, safe,
and fast track use car only.
The car has never been raced, and never wreaked. The only thing that I have
ever hit was a plastic apex cone. The car has never been driven on the
street, has never been titled or registered, has always been trailered to
events and stored in a garage. The heater, headlights, horn, and emergency
brakes have never been installed (still in original Caterham boxes) and are
included.
The car has been driven approximately 16,000 miles. It has been exceptionally
well maintained. All miles are race track miles but in a non-race, driving
school environment.
That's a nice way of saying that I have had no incentive to beat up the car or
over rev the engine. In fact I needed a car that I could count on to be
trouble free since I had to be available for students on track and I had
little time to fuss with my car while at the track.
Issues: The car does have star-cracks on the fenders and it has it's share
of stone chips on the nose. When I hit the cone, the passenger side rear
fender came off, pulling out the riv-nuts in the aluminum skin. I purchased a
new Caterham fender, installed new riv-nuts and reinstalled everything (this
was about 5 years ago). The old riv-nut holes are not visible and are covered
by the new fender. That new fender does not have any star-cracks.
