SE7EN

ROTUS 7

ROTUS7

I was initially thinking of going with SLNGSHT (MD has 7 character limit), but IF I get one now, it'll probably be FRANKN7 - given what I've done with the car so far.

<P>Rob,</P>
<P>I just went for LO7US 7 for my Lotus/Caterham in Ohio - someone already had LOTUS 7!</P>
<P>I think the SE7EN is the pick...</P>

I wanted Se7en, but because my company is called Mint, went with Mint 7,

no dashes.

I also thought of QUIKRNU and lots of odd phrases, but opted against for

fear heighted LEO surveillance.

I think a good one, that use to be on Lance M's car was "ADLYTNS" or

something..."add lightness"

<P>I've been thinking about "Room 4 2" but it's already been taken.&nbsp; Interestingly enough, most of the Lotus 7 name plates have been taken--now I'd like to find out were all the cars are!! Anyone have ideas on eye catching plates?</P>

I wanted either LOWFLYN or FLYNLOW but both were taken here in California. I ended up with BIRKIN 7, not very original but it is descriptive!

<P>I recommended "faux 7" to the previous owner of my Westfield.&nbsp; I still have the plate kicking around the garage and should probably mount it&nbsp;on the wall one of these days http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/wink5.gif</P>

JC - You should send that plate out to TotD event, so we can take a nice group shot pic for all the purists!

Great, and then the purist will begin referring to se7ens/LSiS as Faux 7s or perhaps just F7s.&nbsp; Just what we need... http://www.usa7s.com/forum/smileys/wink5.gif

<P>Steve,</P>
<P>I just tried a few more--"XFLOW 7" is available in VA--it fits my car but&nbsp;I can't reserve it&nbsp;since I haven't titled it yet.&nbsp; And I think it would look funny on my WRX!!&nbsp; </P>
<DIV>So who in VA has "SE7EN" ???? R U a member of this forum?&nbsp; Speak up--we need to know!!!&nbsp; The "inquiry minds want to know" thing!!</DIV>

Mine's XFLOW7, of course.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/biggrin5.gif

I've thought about ONABLAT, BLATTIN, or BLATMBL too.

Also, HAIRBLN and OPENCAR in tribute to the amazing song Open Car by Porcupine Tree.

And THXBLVL which is "Thanks, Belleville." Belleville, Ontario being the location of the assignment I had in Canada during which I put away the money that ended up buying the car.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/biggrin5.gif <edited><editID>xflow7</editID><editDate>2006-10-23 13:50:01</editDate></edited>

Yeah I like it too. Had I thought of it too originally I might have gotten it instead of XFLOW7, but I like XFLOW7 too and the car's been XFLOW7 for five years now, so I don't see changing it.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/smile5.gif <edited><editID>xflow7</editID><editDate>2006-10-23 18:27:04</editDate></edited>

One of my previous DDs was a mid engined Corvair which had the tags V8 Corsa. I was going to put HSSSS on the Cobra but since DV tags are free....

SE7EN was taken im Minnesota - went with SE7ENLY

slomove

Being the humble person that I am I opted for "SLOMOVE".

I know that there are many much more talented track drivers than me (and many slower ones, too who believe they are fast)

Unfortunately I found the license plate did not give me any credit with the California Highway Patrol :cuss:

I always thought that a good plate for the back of our car should read:

"BYE BYE"

It's how the Brits pronounce Caterham.

Of course you are referring to the British Kit Car (properly:ack: ) pronounced
CAT URR HAM :d

Yup, thats how us 'Mericans :flag: with our archaic, unevolved Kings English would pronounce it. :d

I have test driven 2 Caterhams owned by brits. I bought the 2nd car I tested. Both owners pronounced it Kate-trum (Hence K8-rum7). Who wants an obvious vanity plate?.

When I called the first owner, after seeing an ad, I said I was calling about the Cat-tur-ham. He had no idea what I was talking about. After many amusing miscues we finally connected.

Wasn't it Oscar Wilde who said US & Briton were 2 countries separated by a common language?

Don't live by an Oscar Wilde quote!

He also said:
"America is the only country that went from barbarism to decadence without civilization in between."

and
"To disagree with three-fourths of the British public is one of the first requisites of sanity."
