1700 engine Mobil 1 oil filter

I just purchased a 97 with the 1700 super sprint engine. I want to use mobil 1 oil and filter. does any one know what filter # I should use? Thanks

Mine used a Unipart GFE 148, but that was in the UK. Not sure you could get that here...

I'm not positive about this, but I did a search using a 1980 Ford Fiesta which I believe used a 1600cc Ford Kent engine and came up with the following based on the K&N HP-2009:

The filters are usually interchangeable by thread size and o-ring dia, the only difference being the size of the filter body. The ones listed above should be about 3'' od. I believe the Ford engine has a 3/4-16 thread, but I don't remember the o-ring dia. Maybe one of the crossflow owners can confirm this.
